Artwork Materials + Care

  • All inks, media, framing and substrates are archival and will not yellow over time. Some collage artwork contains vintage ephemera which may not be archival and may change in appearance over time.

  • Smooth, museum-grade paper is crafted from 100% cotton, acid-free, 255 GSM with a matte finish. Prints on paper do NOT include mats or frames, but may be pictured as framed to give you an idea of how your print will look upon framing.

Typically, artwork is rendered with added 1 inch white border per side (ie. an 8x8 inch print will arrive on 10x10 inch paper).

  • Unless otherwise noted in the artwork listing, artwork is printed on a thick, acid-free, polycotton-mix canvas that is carefully hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars, then attached to a 1.875 inch deep solid wood floater frame in a durable veneer with dark walnut color. Hanging hardware installed.

Add .625 inch per side for frame (ie. an 8x8 inch canvas will arrive in a 9.25 inch frame).

  • Please refer to the artwork listing to determine if your item is sold framed or unframed. Framed artwork will arrive ready to hang. If you would like to request a framing option not indicated in the listing, please submit a custom order request and I will be in touch with options I can provide.

Frames are custom cut and hand-made by trusted partners, who ship them to you ready to hang. Frames are made of solid wood with premium finishes, including acid-free materials and acrylic with UV protection.

  • Avoid placing artwork in direct sunlight or damp areas. Framing with glass or plexi is recommended for paper prints or artworks with soluble or loose media.

Artwork may be gently dusted with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, solvents, or cleaners. Refer to the artwork listing to learn if any special care is needed for your item.

  • Original artwork is made with a variety of wet, dry and digital mediums, like paint, collage, vintage ephemera, petals and leaves from the garden, photography and pixels. Each piece is inspired by nature, my Scandinavian heritage and an insatiable, curious imagination.

Some prints are reproductions of original artwork (scan or photographs). Others are digital mixed-media creations using images and software to create original compositions. For instance, I may create a unique piece of painted paper or find a rare bit of vintage paper ephemera - scan or photograph it - then use software to ‘paint’ with it.

All artwork is 100% free of AI-generated content.

  • The materials I use are guaranteed to last over 100 years. Keeping the prints in the right environment will maximize their life.

Direct sunlight will cause the colors to fade prematurely. Pollutants such as smoke will also negatively impact the lifespan of the media. Excess humidity may cause molding. Extreme low humidity will cause the wood stretcher frame to shrink which may cause the stretch to be less tight and result in sagging. This effect is temporary and will go away once it returns to a normal humidity range. The lighting conditions also affect how the prints will be viewed.

You can dust canvases with a soft, dry cloth. I do not recommend cleaners or water.

  • Giclée printing is a high-quality digital fine art printing process that uses high-resolution inkjet printers with archival inks and paper to reproduce artwork, photography, and other images. It's known for its exceptional color accuracy, fine detail reproduction, and longevity, making it my preferred method for creating art prints.

    • Produced on specialized, large-format inkjet printers with high resolution

    • Uses archival quality ink, resists fading and yellowing over time

    • Uses archival-quality substrates that are acid-free

    • Uses a wide color gamut for more accurate and vibrant color

I use high-quality, archival materials for every single order.

  • If your Edition is “One of a Kind” there will only be ONE issued.

If your Edition is “Limited” the artwork may be reproduced in a limited quantity.

  • Our monitors and printers are calibrated to ambient light conditions of D50 (5000K daylight). Viewing under different light conditions may affect how colors are perceived by your eyes.

Viewing artwork online is subject to the color calibration of your monitor or device. No two devices are the same, so the images will appear differently. We work hard to represent the artwork as accurately as possible, but your physical product will appear with normal and expected variances.

  • You’ll find that there is a larger array of artwork available here on the website than anywhere else.
